Golden Goose Opens HAUS Concept in Mexico City

Event at Historic Colima Street Location Highlights Art, Craft, and Local Culture

Following the opening of HAUS Marghera in Venice during the Biennale 2024, Golden Goose brought its HAUS concept to Mexico City with a multi-floor event on Colima Street, co-designed by Mexican architect Michel Rojkind. The evening’s activities took place throughout a historic landmark building, offering guests distinct creative experiences in each space.

The event began in the Living Room with drinks and snacks, including a vintage-style churro cart serving custom toppings. In the Kitchen, mixologists Roxana Ramos, Isabella Romo, Bettina Kg, and Ana Lorenzana created Limantour specialty cocktails. Outside, on the Co-Creation Patio, Golden Goose artisans, called Dream Makers, crafted personalized key charms from materials like blown glass and ceramic, highlighting traditional Mexican craftsmanship.

On the upper levels, artist Mario Garcia Torres presented “Noche y Dia” in the Bedroom, an installation featuring a lit replica of a famous restaurant sign with scents and visuals reflecting Mexico City’s culture and history. In the Wardrobe, artist Sofia Tormenta constructed a brutalist artwork from industrial materials, exploring Golden Goose’s aesthetic through raw materials. The Listening Room hosted local DJs Teshee and Ruzzi, who curated a vintage vinyl soundscape, and photographer Ana Hop ran a live portrait session on the top floor, with digital displays showing guests’ portraits across the HAUS.

Attendees included notable figures like Michael Ronda, Roberta Damian, Camila Valero, Claudia Álvarez, Aisha Dose, and others. HAUS CDMX will continue as a cultural hub, offering events such as cooking classes, floral workshops, university panels, and book clubs focused on art, craftsmanship, and cultural exchange between Mexico and Italy.
