The partnership will bring fine dining to British Fashion Council events
Gordon Ramsay Restaurants has become the first-ever hospitality patron of the British Fashion Council (BFC), marking a unique collaboration between the culinary and fashion industries. As part of the partnership, Gordon Ramsay Restaurants will cater dining experiences at BFC events, including those held during London Fashion Week. “Gordon Ramsay Restaurants has always been about celebrating British culture, pushing boundaries and championing talent, much like the British Fashion Council,” said Andy Wenlock, the restaurant group’s chief executive officer.
The British Fashion Council’s outgoing chief executive, Caroline Rush, highlighted the synergy between food and fashion, stating, “This collaboration reflects British excellence, bringing together two industries that thrive on innovation, craftsmanship and creativity.” The BFC has been actively promoting British designers and culture, including hosting a three-day pop-up store on Regent Street during London Fashion Week in February, where London Mayor Sadiq Khan voiced his support for increasing government investment in the fashion industry.
Khan, who attended the Harris Reed show, emphasized fashion’s economic impact, stating, “Fashion contributes 64 billion pounds. Half of that comes from London, but it’s also who we are.” As Gordon Ramsay Restaurants steps into the fashion scene, both industries look forward to enhancing events and fostering creative collaborations.
