THE COLLECTION
THE VIBE
Everyday elegance. Quiet excellence.
Over a decade in at Hermès now, creative director Nadège Vanhée continues to nail the delicate balancing act of preserving the heritage of a luxury house that is all about historic prestige and fashion’s need to tell stories in a fresh and forward way. Spring 2025 is another example of the designer’s mastery of silent luxury, with clothing that draws attention and radiates intentionality without demanding anything, and that serves as a canvas for the brand’s coveted bags.
Balancing leisure and utility, many of the looks see Vanhée pair sculptural leather outerwear with sheer knits. A somewhat more casual and even flirty vibe is introduced through crop tops and bralettes paired with silhouette-elongating skirts that zip up the side for a touch of modular sexiness. In later looks, the famed craft mastery of the maison is on full display with gorgeously crafted leather garments, while a clever extension of its signature silk scarves appears as well.
Bags in all shapes and sizes are present, always perfectly sealing off a look’s effortless impact of everyday elegance.
THE DIRECTION
THE WRAP UP
With a brand like Hermès that, in terms of revenue, is so anchored by bags and accessories, full runway collections still play a strategic and important role. Through her understanding of craft and her ability to capture the identity and story of this woman of functional elegance, Vanhée writes another chapter in the house’s design history, creating an even fuller backdrop of aesthetic integrity and deepening the narrative behind the coveted Hermès bag.
