The American Designer and South Korean Eyewear Brand Team Up for a Limited-Edition Collection
Heron Preston and Gentle Monster have come together for a collaborative eyewear collection. The American designer channeled his signature redefined workwear aesthetic to create three styles with the South Korean eyewear brand.
I decided to collaborate with Gentle Monster because they have always supported big ideas and ambitious thinking. They understand how to connect through culture and arts in the most authentic ways, and so working with them made me feel confident that they would be able to carry out my vision.

The limited-edition collection is highlighted in campaign imagery featuring digitally rendered avatars of the models. Picking up on the hardware inspiration of the designs, these characters are physically augmented by cybernetic exoskeletons – an awesome fusion of Preston’s aesthetic with Gentle Monster’s love of futurism and technology.
To further celebrate the collaboration, Heron Preston and Gentle Monster are hosting scavenger hunts in six cities across the world: New York, London, Shanghai, Singapore, Seoul, and Los Angeles. Fans can tune into the creator’s social media accounts to find the coordinates of the pieces, where it will be a first-come-first-serve scramble to get their hands on exclusive versions of the style which will not be available anywhere else.
