Noah Johnson Joins as EIC, Caitlin LeRoux Promoted to SVP and GM of North America, Tom Lee Joins as VP and Head of Creative
Highsnobiety has announced the appointment of several key figures to its team, signaling a significant expansion of its leadership as the company approaches its twentieth year. Noah Johnson, former Global Style Director of GQ, will take the helm as Editor in Chief, while Caitlin LeRoux has been named Senior Vice President and General Manager of Highsnobiety North America, and Tom Lee steps in as Vice President and Head of Creative.
Johnson, based in New York, has a distinguished background in fashion journalism, with prior editorial roles at Details, Style.com, and Complex. His work has been featured in prominent publications such as The New York Times, New York Magazine, and The Wall Street Journal. In his new role at Highsnobiety, Johnson will oversee both the print and digital editorial operations.
David Fischer, Founder & CEO of Highsnobiety, praised Johnson’s unique editorial perspective: “I have admired Noah’s ability to bring a fresh, smart and always spot-on perspective to style, culture, and storytelling for a number of years. He has an innate skill of honing in on the stories that one didn’t quite know needed to be told, and to tell them with depth and authenticity. We couldn’t be more excited for him to bring his singular point of view and leadership to the Highsnobiety team and community.”
Caitlin LeRoux, who has been with Highsnobiety for ten years and led the company’s expansion in the UK, will now lead all commercial departments in the US from the New York office. Juergen Hopfgartner, President & COO of Highsnobiety, commented on her promotion: “Caitlin’s journey with Highsnobiety has been nothing short of incredible. Caitlin joined us ten years ago as Brand Partnerships Executive and has climbed every step of the ladder since. Along the way, she played a pivotal role in shaping our company’s transformation — from a 20-person digital publisher to a multifaceted 300-person organization encompassing publishing, cultural agency work, as well as e-commerce. Her client work was often culturally groundbreaking and unlocked new growth opportunities for her clients’ businesses. In addition to that, Caitlin has greatly contributed to Highsnobiety’s culture in many ways, including but not limited to her leadership in HIGHPower, our Women and Non-Binary ERG. Her experience in rolling out the Highsnobiety playbook and nurturing collaboration across teams and offices will be invaluable as we only continue to push forward from here.”
Tom Lee, returning to Highsnobiety after a stint from 2018 to 2021 as the company’s Creative Director, has previously worked with organizations such as Matte Projects and VICE/Virtue. Known for his innovative approach to brand engagement, particularly within the fashion, beauty, and entertainment industries, Lee will lead the creative direction of the company.
Johnson, LeRoux, and Lee will all be based in Highsnobiety’s New York offices, beginning their roles on January 6, 2025. This strategic bolstering of their leadership team underscores Highsnobiety’s ongoing commitment to shaping and defining the cultural conversation around fashion and lifestyle.
