Jacob & Co and Loewe Break the Barriers of Sound, Elevating Acoustic Innovation to Objet d’Art Status

Haute jewellery, sports, the automobile and hospitality industries have all captured the attention of luxury fashion houses over the last two decades. As brands look to market adjacent partnerships (with those who display an aligned elevated positioning, yet play outside of the world of fashion) for expansion opportunities, they are not only meeting the growing lifestyle needs of the discerning luxury consumer, but also diversifying their portfolios, growing their customer base and tapping into new revenue drivers over the long-term. So, it came as no surprise when renowned jeweller to an elite celebrity clientele Jacob & Co, and German technology innovators Loewe, found common ground in their drive for innovation across their respective fields of audio/visual technology and high jewellery.
Coming together in Monaco, Monte Carlo on September 27th aboard the Loewe Yacht, with guests including French footballer Kyliam Mbappé, these two brands celebrated the launch of a year-long undertaking to produce a feat of acoustic innovation in the form of a limited-edition set of luxury headphones. The Noir Rainbow and the Ice Diamond, adorned with rose and white gold, and set with over 12 carats of diamonds and gemstones, was revealed as ‘Two Icons’ collaborating to share ‘One Vision’, as Jacob & Co and Loewe worked together to create ‘an objet d’art, intended to be seen, felt, and heard’.

When playing in new arenas there is a temptation to build on an out-of-the-box solution, utilising kit already established within the market and only requiring a branding upgrade. This was not the case for the Loewe and Jacob & Co partnership, as they chose to develop a bespoke forward-thinking design enhanced by fine jewellery for a luxurious listening experience. And with Loewe credited with the invention of the first television in 1931, to their position today as a name which stands for inventive luxury consumer electronics, this launch embraces both art and craftsmanship that aims to enhance the consumer listening experience via the audio and the visual.
Limited to a production of 10 bespoke headphones, each pair is handcrafted and embeds advanced adaptive technology including noise cancellation, AI, real-time translation and voice assistance. Encased in leather and anodised aluminium they are engineered to give each wearer the feeling of entering an immersive audio soundscape.

Our collaboration is unique and exclusive, bringing together two worlds that, at their core, serve the same discerning clientele. By uniting Jacob & Co.’s artistry in high jewellery and timepieces with Loewe’s mastery in acoustic precision, technology and design, we are shaping experiences that are not only luxurious but also seamlessly connected to modern lifestyles. This partnership symbolizes the craftsmanship and values shared by both our Maisons, redefining what it means to merge technology with art.“

– Jacob Arabo, Jacob & Co Chairman & CEO
This collaboration has the potential to redefine how high jewellery is both worn and merged with fashion, as through technology Loewe and Jacob & Co are evolving the notion of jewellery as heirloom. Ensuring that only 1 of 5 of the Noir Rainbow (14k rose gold custom set with 15.97 carats of multicoloured sapphires) and 1 of 5 of the Ice Diamond (14K white gold set with 12.47 carats of white diamonds) have been created the rarity of each set of headphones will ingrain them with collector’s item status. Sure to drive demand at a time when the luxury industry is navigating consumer fatigue and over-exposure affecting sales and the financial results of brands globally.

Marking the start of Loewe’s new era, the technology innovator sees this launch as the beginning of a journey merging the worlds of design, fashion, and technology, revealing to The Impression that a number of equally extraordinary creations are touted for September 2025.
