French Designer Brings Provençal Flair to Skiwear in First Après-Ski Capsule
Simon Porte Jacquemus, the designer celebrated for his sun-soaked, cinematic takes on French fashion, has ventured into winter sportswear with his first ski collection in collaboration with Nike. Debuting as part of his ongoing partnership with the sportswear giant, the 18-piece Nike x Jacquemus Après Ski capsule blends the designer’s signature rounded tailoring with technical Gore-Tex fabrics, offering skiwear that is both functional and distinctly stylish. The collection includes generous ‘his and hers’ jackets in black and pale neon green, stirrup leggings, and a range of water-repellent women’s and men’s pieces, with a launch at Jacquemus stores and online, followed by Nike and select partners on December 3.
Beyond apparel, Jacquemus has teamed up with French specialist brand Lacroix to create a matching pair of skis and mask, adding a sporty extension to the collection’s aesthetic. Drawing inspiration from vintage ’80s ski styles, the collaboration infuses retro references with modern minimalism, reflecting the designer’s personal fascination with skiing and his broader interest in reinterpreting heritage sportswear. This marks a fresh chapter for Jacquemus, whose winter pop-ups in Courchevel have already cemented the brand’s affinity for alpine settings, now translating the Provençal flair of his signature collections to the slopes.
