Review of Jacquemus Holiday 2024 Ad Campaign by Creative Director Simon Porte Jacquemus and Photographer Lisa Jahovic with model Alex Consani
Jacquemus embraces the solitary delights of the winter season with its Holiday campaign, featuring brilliant video and photography by Lisa Jahovic.
The campaign continues the brand’s mastery of quirky and chicly surreal marketing moments with a warm and playful winter twist. Finding model Alex Consani in a wood-paneled ski chalet, the series of brief vignettes each center around an unexpected and humorous moment brought to life through her interaction with a surreal contraption. In one video, she uses a rowing machine to a power a fan that blows a red wool Jacquemus scarf perfectly around her neck. In another machine-like metal arms cover her entire body – except her eyes – with cucumber slices, while in yet another she uses the pedal of a Singer 4423 Heavy Duty (if you know you know) to power the motion of an intricate and festive hanging arrangement of orange segments.
In a smart and digitally savvy move, there are far more videos than photos, but the still portraits we do get are just as striking, especially the closeup of Consani’s face covered in delicate, water droplet-like beads.
Jacquemus continues to lead the pack when it comes to engaging digital marketing. The brand combines a deep understanding of dynamic cadence and the power of the medium of video with a uniquely stylish sense of humor and personality. This latest campaign is another excellent example of that practice, inviting a very Jacquemus holiday of warmth, wonder, and self-care.
