Review of Jacquemus “Le Splash” Ad Campaign Part 1 by Creative Director Gaston Artelandia and Photographer Tom Kneller with Talent Bad Bunny
Bad Bunny makes a splash in a new campaign for Jacquemus. The iconic Puerto Rican rapper is captured in Miami by photographer Tom Kneller, with the campaign featuring creative direction from Gaston Artelandia.
Jacquemus shared the campaign via their Instagram as a teaser for a collection titled “Le Splash,” with a promise of more to come. The title seems appropriate: the collection features spring and summer-ready pieces like linen blazers, dresses, and shorts, as well as fun accessories, in vibrant hues.
Channeling this aquatic and sunlit energy, Bad Bunny poses poolside in Miami, flowing between moods of effortless relaxation and high-energy summer activity. In our favorite of the campaign’s images, the star flexes in a bright pink dress that ends mid-thigh and blue heels with socks. It’s a great moment of gender fluidity and free-wheeling expressiveness that captures so much of the brand’s signature charm.
Anchored by an excellent, idiosyncratic casting choice and supported by an uplifting and vibrant spirit, the campaign is a great way to look forward to the arrival of summer in that one-of-a-kind Jacquemus style.
