Jacquemus and Nike take Paris by storm with their biggest campaign yet, celebrating their Fall 2024 drop while leaning into the spirit of the Olympics. Starring a huge range of athletes and artists, the film sees the brand’s eponymous creative director Simon Porte Jacquemus make his directorial debut.

Inspired by both Nike ads of the early 2000s and the classic films of French director Jacques Tati, the film takes us on a whirlwind tour of Paris, where we find the cast of colorful characters engaged in (or abstaining from) feats of quirky athleticism. Lila Moss and Carine Roitfeld cruise down the Seine; actor Tina Kunakey jogs past the Eiffel Tower; ballet dancer Guillaume Diop kayaks in the Fontaine Saint-Sulpice. Other cast include Serena Williams, Rina Sawayama, Amina Muaddi, and many more.

The accompanying series of portraits by photographer Nicholas Loir take a more direct but still playful and vibrant approach, capturing the characters in solo or group compositions before backdrops of blue, white, or red, extending the collection’s athletic and patriotic visual identity.

The scale of the campaign is truly ambitious, but it is cleverly divided up into bite-sized vignettes and united by the colors of Team France and an energetic spirit that makes it come together seamlessly. We can tell that Simon Porte Jacquemus was having tons of fun as he put his own spin on the Nike ads he grew up watching, and these two world come together in an awesome explosion of fashion expression and athletic energy.
