Two icons of footwear design – Jimmy Choo and Timberland – have reunited and come together with designer Shanel Campbell for an unexpected yet utterly fun collaboration. The unique partnership is celebrated with a campaign by director and photographer Shaniqwa Jarvis.

The collaborative collection applies Jimmy Choo’s lux know-how to the classic motifs of Timberland’s iconic six-inch boot, resulting in some unexpected yet personality-filled crossovers: a classic Timberland boot spray painted with a Jimmy Choo tag, a pair of ultra-glam, Swarovski-crystal-encrusted high heels finished with signature Timberland laces, and another classic boot that has been reimagined in Valentino-esque bright pink – a piece that is sure to be scooped up by devotees of the Barbiecore trend.

Captured on a rooftop overlooking New York City, the campaign picks up on Campbell’s exploration of how Black culture turned Timbs from workwear to streetwear. The shoes are modeled by singer Justine Skye and rapper and producer Pi’erre Bourne, both NYC natives, who incorporate them effortlessly into their personal styles.

A fitting manifesto for the unexpectedly complementary creative visions of two footwear icons, the campaign is more importantly a bold celebration of the unsung Black American style icons who defined streetwear.
