JW Anderson has opened a permanent womenswear space at Selfridges London, expanding its curated retail concept within one of the city’s key department stores.
Located on the second floor of Selfridges at 400 Oxford Street, the dedicated space is staffed by brand specialists and presents a focused edit of the evolving JW Anderson universe. The opening reflects Jonathan Anderson’s ongoing shift toward a more personal and craft-driven approach to the label.
At the core of this direction is a renewed emphasis on curation, with collections developed in collaboration with heritage craft houses. The offering prioritizes traceable materials, traditional techniques, and long-lasting design, aligning with Anderson’s interest in craftsmanship and material integrity.
The space features ready-to-wear pieces such as linen garments woven in Northern Ireland, knitwear produced in Scotland in collaboration with Pringle, and Japanese-crafted denim. Signature silhouettes—including fold-over trousers and the House cardigan inspired by archival references—anchor the collection.
Accessories play a central role, with designs like the Loafer bag, modeled after the form of a classic shoe, and the Pigeon clutch. Hand-crocheted bag charms add a more playful dimension to the assortment.
