This year’s edition of the luxury group’s charity dinner will be held in New York City on September 11th
The Kering Foundation has announced the date for its fourth annual “Caring for Women” charity dinner. The event, which raises support for organizations working to end gender-based violence against women, will be held at The Pool in New York City, during New York Fashion Week, on September 11th. Founded in 2008, the Foundation focuses on enabling women and children and supporting survivors of violence in France, Italy, Korea, Mexico, the United Kingdom and the United States.
The gala will include a dinner auction, supported by Kering-owned fashion houses such as Gucci, Saint Laurent, Balenciaga, Bottega Veneta, Boucheron, Pomellato and Ginori 1735, who offer exclusive products and experiences to bidders. A dinner performance is planned as well, to be announced at a later date. The festivities are orchestrated by a star-studded host committee, comprising Salma Hayek Pinault, Colman Domingo, Demi Moore, Jessica Chastain, Julianne Moore, and, newly, Madonna.
Last year the event raised over $3 million for four different nonprofit organizations, including Sanctuary for Families, FreeFrom, Violence Intervention Program, and Equality Now.
