Kim Jones Launches First Fendi Capsule

Kim Jones’ Fendi Capsule Collection Inspired By Virginia Woolf’s Orlando Is His First To Be In Stores

Fresh off the heels of his debut Spring/Summer 2021 Couture collection for Fendi, Kim Jones presents his first Capsule Collection. The collection was inspired by the Bloomsbury set and Virginia Woolf’s gender-blurring novel Orlando. A contemporary homage to British creativity and Italian glamour, Jones translates the sensibility of the season into ready-to-wear.

The Collection explores the liberated British sensibility of the 1920s alongside historic Roman grandeur. Key silhouettes adopt the collection’s motifs of fluid androgyny and exquisite romance. Cady and wool silk tailoring and crisp cotton shirting, alongside elegantly draped satin dresses and gowns depict the conventional codes of masculinity and femininity united in monochromatic harmony.

Ballerina slippers embossed with Karligraphy beaded monograms, and knee-high satin boots, are evolved from the styles presented at Couture, alongside a new collection of baroque pearl jewelry, frozen in resin and embossed with rhinestones. Limited-edition iterations of the iconic Baguette and Peekaboo bags are trimmed in pearls or rendered in prints, inspired by the Bloomsbury Group’s Sussex home of Charleston House.

The Collection, modeled by Bella Hadid, Lila Moss, Winnie Harlow, Julia Garner and more, can be seen below.

The capsule will be exclusively available for a two-week period at select boutiques from mid-April 2021. It can be found at only 9 Fendi stores worldwide – Miami, Beverly Hills, London, Paris, Seoul, Tokyo, Hong Kong, Shanghai, and Beijing.
