The British brand reports a 10% rise in sales to $466 million and introduces Emily Ratajkowski as the face of its Fall 2024 collection
Kurt Geiger has reported a strong financial performance for the year ending February 2024, with annual sales climbing to $466 million, marking a 10% increase from the previous year. The brand’s earnings also saw impressive growth, surging by 34% to over $50 million. The success has been largely driven by the popularity of Kurt Geiger’s “affordable luxury” handbags, which have resonated with consumers across various markets.
Neil Clifford, CEO of Kurt Geiger, credited the brand’s unique design aesthetic and value proposition for its success. “We stand out with our fun, colorful, and instantly recognizable designs, coupled with a strong British DNA. We’ve filled a gap in the market with bold, maximalist silhouettes at an accessible price point,” Clifford stated. He added that 2024 is expected to exceed even the brand’s most ambitious predictions, with the global footprint expanding rapidly, particularly in the handbag category.
To further enhance its brand presence, Kurt Geiger has named Emily Ratajkowski as the ambassador for its Fall 2024 collection. The campaign, featuring the new Chelsea collection, pays tribute to West London and showcases Ratajkowski with a variety of stylish handbags. The collection also introduces an updated version of the brand’s iconic eagle symbol, now adorned with a crystalized halo buckle.
Kurt Geiger’s handbags division continues to be a significant growth driver, generating $143 million in sales in 2023. The U.S. market has been particularly strong, with sales increasing by 104% in the last five months alone. Looking ahead, the brand is set to expand its retail presence with plans to open new stores in New York, Los Angeles, and San Diego this fall, with a long-term goal of reaching 50 stores across the U.S.
