The Collaboration Establishes the Brand as the Official Off-Court Fashion Partner of the Basketball Team
Lanvin has announced a collaboration with AS Monaco Basket, establishing itself as the official off-court fashion partner of the basketball team.
As part of the collaboration, key Roca Team players, including Matthew Strazel, Mike James, and Elie Okobo, will be featured in a series of intimate black-and-white portraits, wearing classic Lanvin pieces. The players’ official wardrobe includes Lanvin’s signature suits and the brand’s iconic DDB1 sneakers, which they will sport throughout the upcoming seasons.
“Lanvin is pleased to deepen its connection to Monaco through its partnership with AS Monaco Basketball — a team that inspires both locally and on the global stage,” said Siddhartha Shukla, Deputy CEO of Lanvin. “The exemplary athleticism and team spirit that drive their success resonate with Lanvin’s own commitment to excellence. As Madame Lanvin herself understood over a century ago, the worlds of fashion and sport find common ground, creating powerful cultural synergies.”
This partnership highlights Lanvin’s historic ties to the sports world, dating back to founder Jeanne Lanvin’s creation of Lanvin Sports in the 1920s. It also emphasizes the brand’s longstanding affinity for the French Riviera, a region that has been integral to the house’s identity. Jeanne Lanvin first established her presence in the area with a boutique on Boulevard de la Croisette in Cannes, and today, Lanvin continues to maintain a strong Riviera connection with locations in both Monaco and Cannes.
Speaking to the partnership, Oleksiy Yefimov, General Manager of AS Monaco Basket, remarked, “Our mission is to deliver the ultimate Hoops Royal experience to our fans — where basketball intersects with glamour, high fashion, and unparalleled entertainment. Partnering with Lanvin, who shares this vision, is essential to realizing our aspirations. I am convinced this marks the beginning of a long-term relationship, where together we will craft stories that reveal the beauty of this project.”
