Latin American Fashion Awards Gets Ready To Host the First-Ever Celebration of Latin American Fashion in the World
Latin American Fashion Awards, the unprecedented fashion event founded by the two bona fide Latin American fashion legends Constanza Etro and Silvia Argüello, gets ready to host the first-ever celebration of Latin American fashion in the world, with a fueling schedule of special events, which will culminate with the highly anticipated Awards Ceremony. The Award Celebrations, hosted by the prestigious resorts of Casa de Campo and Puntacana Resort & Club in the Dominican Republic, will take place from November 2nd to 5th, 2023.
The unparalleled event will see notable guests including the global superstar J. Balvin, named “Latin Fashion Icon of the Year”; the co-hosts of the Awards Ceremony, Leslie Grace, the renowned actress and singer of Dominican roots, and Iván de Pineda, the Argentine-Spanish international fashion model, film actor and TV host; the co-founders of the Latin American Fashion Awards, Constanza Etro and Silvia Argüello; and the prestigious international jury, presided by Haider Ackermann, and comprised by ELLE USA Editor-in-Chief, Nina Garcia; Head of Content of Vogue Mexico and Latin America, Karla Martinez de Salas; Journalist and industry icon Anna Dello Russo; stylist and i-D Global Fashion Director, Carlos Nazario; supermodel, actor and activist Indya Moore; Creative Director and Sustainability Expert Kean Etro; Photographer and Filmmaker Bruno Aveillan; Creative Director of Fondazione Sozzani, Sara Sozzani Maino; Philanthropist, Strategic Investor, and Entrepreneur Carmen Busquets; Fashion Director of Vogue Brasil, Vívian Sotocórno, among others.

The Award celebrations kicked off on Thursday, November 2nd, with a welcome cocktail at Mare Restaurant, located at La Cana Golf & Beach Club and part of Puntacana Resort & Club. On the following day, Friday 3rd, guests will be invited to a very special opening night cocktail at the historic private Villa of Oscar de la Renta in Puntacana Resort & Club.
Top fashion industry members and celebrities from all over the world are flying with style and excitement to the Dominican Republic for the first-ever Latin American Fashion Awards event, which promises to be a one-of-a-kind experience. The VIP guests, including the prestigious international jury, as well as local and international heavyweights, designers, tycoons and socialites from all Latin America regions and all over the world, will have an immersive experience into Oscar de la Renta’s tropical lifestyle. The 300 guests in attendance will enjoy typical Dominican cuisine and live music, and the villa will be intact as the iconic designer left it many years ago after his passing. Even his own personal furniture will be used throughout the sophisticated event, making this a not-to-be-missed experience in the region and worldwide.
The Award Ceremony will take place on Saturday, November 4th, in the iconic Amphitheater of Altos de Chavón in Casa de Campo. After a pre-cocktail at Casa de Campo, guests will walk the red carpet and find their seat in this breathtaking open-air facility designed by Italian artist Roberto Copa in 1976. Leslie Grace, the renowned actress and singer of Dominican roots, and Iván de Pineda, the Argentine-Spanish international fashion model, film actor and TV host, will co-host the ceremony while revealing the Winners of the 14 Award Categories.
One of the most anticipated moments of the Awards Ceremony is the half-time show performance by the Colombian-born global superstar J Balvin, who will set the stage on fire after receiving the “Latin Fashion Icon of the Year” award.
