The Quarterly Publication Delves Into Artistic Inspirations and Global Collaborations
Loewe has elevated its in-house publication to new heights with the latest edition, Issue No. 4, of its quarterly magazine, offering readers a rich exploration of the brand’s artistic universe. This reimagined issue brings Loewe’s cultural engagements and collections to life, blending craftsmanship and creativity across nearly 150 pages.
Loewe has been publishing its magazine since 1963, but last year, the publication underwent a significant transformation to offer deeper insights into the brand’s worldwide endeavors. The magazine now explores the objects and artworks that influence Loewe’s campaigns and collaborations, while also capturing candid moments throughout each season.
This issue features content produced exclusively for the magazine, celebrating the craft of print publishing. Historian and Antiques Roadshow presenter Steven Moore contextualizes the Enlightenment-era floral embroidery, wood-carved collars, swallow-tailed morning coats, ceramic asparagus, and trompe-l’oeil beaded bulldogs featured in the Fall Winter 2024 collection.
The themes of the new season’s womenswear are further explored through a special commission by photographer Erinn Springer, who creates a visual response to Albert York’s paintings that were showcased at the Paris runway presentation. Glossy prints of her images are included in a separate envelope, allowing readers to juxtapose them with York’s bucolic landscapes within the magazine’s pages. The cover features a close-up of the collection’s floral embroidery being hand-painted, accompanied by a fold-out poster embossed with the Loewe Anagram.
