Luxury Brand’s New São Paulo Location Marks Entry Into South American Market
Loewe has inaugurated its first store in Brazil, located in Iguatemi São Paulo. The 1,238-square-foot store offers a range of products, including women’s ready-to-wear, bags, shoes, small leather goods, eyewear, and accessories. This establishment also marks Loewe’s first store in South America.
The new store, which opened on May 17, follows Loewe creative director Jonathan Anderson’s Casa Loewe concept. The interior and exterior of the store feature a vibrant color palette of green, brown, and silver ceramic tiles, as well as additional design elements like lilac marble accents, oak shelving, and concrete floor tiles, creating a textured and inviting space.
The store’s furniture includes Utrecht armchairs, Loewe’s signature iron martini tables, and an Isamu Noguchi Akari light sculpture. Additionally, bespoke wool rugs featuring reproductions of British textile artist John Allen’s pastoral landscape are part of the store’s decor.
The store also showcases art pieces curated from Loewe’s collection, including works by Barcelona-based artist Daniel Steegmann Mangrane. Popular items at the store are expected to be the Flamenco and Puzzle bags, with the Flamenco bag retailing for approximately $2,688.
Jonathan Anderson, who has been leading Loewe since 2013, has been praised for his innovative approach to revamping the heritage brand. Known for his artistic store concepts and distinctive clothing and accessories offerings, Anderson’s work at Loewe has been well-received by fashion critics.
The Iguatemi São Paulo mall, where the new Loewe store is located, houses other luxury retailers such as Bottega Veneta, Burberry, Gucci, Saint Laurent, and many more.
