Loewe Opens New Store in Bal Harbour

Miami Beach Location Features Women’s Fashion and Artistic Interior Design

On June 29, Loewe opened a new store in Bal Harbour, located in the prestigious Bal Harbour Shops at the northern tip of Miami Beach. The 193 square meter store offers a full range of women’s ready-to-wear, bags, shoes, sunglasses, small leather goods, and other accessories.

The store’s design follows creative director Jonathan Anderson’s Casa Loewe concept, blending retail elegance with the intimacy of an art collector’s home. A verdant ceramic facade greets customers, featuring a Miami-inspired palette of green, aquamarine, and coral tiles. These handmade and enameled tiles create a textural play of light and color. Additional materials include poured concrete, veined marble, oak, brass, and turned iron fittings.

Curated furniture enhances the space, with Gerrit Thomas Rietveld’s Utrecht armchairs and Berin Club chairs upholstered in custom felt. Signature Loewe designs such as iron martini tables, marble podiums, a low black terrazzo table, and a tufted leather puffer bench are also featured. Isamu Noguchi’s shoji paper Akari E Hanging Lamp floats from the ceiling, while artisanal rugs with reproductions of British textile artist John Allen’s tapestries add a whimsical touch.

The store’s interior is adorned with hand-selected pieces from Loewe’s global anthology of art, craft, and design. British artist Nicholas Byrne’s large-scale works, including Untitled (2023) painted in oil on copper, explore movement and color with formal rigor. American painter Jennifer Packer’s still life Untitled (2022) features a blue-tinted bouquet that is both somber and atmospheric. Italian multi-media artist Enrico David’s Untitled (2021), created from willow, wheat, and lavender, adds a tactile reference to the human form.

The Loewe Bal Harbour store combines fashion and art, offering customers a unique shopping experience inspired by the creativity and craftsmanship of the brand.
