Puzzle Bags, Clutches, and Small Leather Goods Get a Sculptural Update Inspired by Coastal Terrain
Loewe expands on its topographic leather concept with a new iteration of the Landscape series for Fall 2025, reworking its signature accessories through sculptural layering techniques first introduced in the Fall 2024 precollection.
This season’s update brings a sharper focus to the craftsmanship behind the line, which uses stacked and skived panels of colorful calfskin to echo geological formations. The Puzzle bag leads the lineup once again, its familiar cuboid structure heightened with new gradients and textures that resemble carved relief maps.
Other accessories—including the Flamenco Clutch and a range of cardholders and wallets—carry the same tactile treatment. At Loewe’s atelier, artisans compress and shape contrasting leather segments into undulating forms, then carefully skive away the top layers to reveal those beneath. The result is a shifting surface of depth and tone that recalls striated rock or weathered shorelines.
The process draws from traditional leather-working techniques but applies them in a distinctly modern way, aligning with the house’s broader commitment to innovation through craft. By treating leather as a dynamic, sculptable material, Loewe explores how form and surface can work together to evoke the natural world without literal representation.
While rooted in past techniques, this expanded Landscape collection reflects an evolving creative direction—where material manipulation and visual storytelling converge. What began as a concept last fall has now grown into a fully realized series, merging design precision with a geological sensibility.
