London Top 10 Fall 2020 Shows

As Ranked by The Impression

Only a month into the new decade, and it already feels as if a new zeitgeist is starting to take shape – characterized by the fashion industry’s embrace of increased diversity on the runway, and comfort with gender fluidity as lines between womenswear and menswear continue to blur. Just last month the Top 10 London Men’s fashion shows presented a mix of traditionally masculine materials with distinctly feminine flourishes, and similarly many Top 10 London Women’s shows such as Burberry, Toga, and Victoria Beckham have reappropriated men’s suiting, shirting, and outerwear by breaking them down and rebuilding them from the ground up. For Roksanda, Erdem, JW Anderson, Christopher Kane, and Preen by Thornton Bregazzi, the embrace of inclusivity manifested more abstractly through minutiae that incorporated innovative new materials with a non-gendered, techno-futurist edge such as tinted iridescents, draping metallics, and translucent trimmings.

Here are The Impression Top 10 Women’s London fashion shows of Fall 2020 season as selected by our Chief Impressionist, Kenneth Richard.
