Longchamp has signed a global licensing agreement with Interparfums SA to relaunch and expand its fragrance business
The deal, announced Monday, grants Interparfums exclusive rights to create, produce, and distribute Longchamp perfumes through December 2036, positioning the brand to enter the global fragrance market, with the first product launch slated for 2027.
Under the terms of the agreement, Interparfums SA, a global leader in prestige licensed fragrances, will oversee the entire value chain–from the creation and development of new fragrance lines to their production and worldwide distribution. These new scents will be available through Longchamp’s extensive network of over 400 global boutiques, as well as through Interparfums’ established selective distribution channels, such as high-end department stores, perfumeries, and duty-free shops.
For Interparfums, this agreement further strengthens its portfolio of licensed brands, which already includes houses like Coach, Jimmy Choo, Montblanc, and Lacoste. Philippe Benacin, chairman & CEO of Interparfums SA, highlighted the strategic value of partnering with Longchamp, citing the brand’s strong recognition and strengths in leather goods and fashion creations as valuable assets for successful fragrance development.
The launch timeline points to a deliberate development process, ensuring that the fragrances authentically reflect Longchamp’s heritage and brand identity. This move into fragrance by Longchamp also reflects a broader trend among luxury houses seeking to diversify revenue streams and deepen consumer engagement through offering a complete lifestyle experience. The partnership is set to create meaningful value for both companies, leveraging Longchamp’s brand equity and proven expertise from Interparfums in crafting and distributing successful luxury fragrances.
