Loro Piana Takes Over Harrods for Festive Season
Italian luxury brand Loro Piana will be staging its first-ever takeover of Harrods for the holiday season, running from Nov. 7 to Jan. 2. The brand will open two new permanent stores at Harrods for Kids collection and Loro Piana Interiors, while also setting up two pop-ups dedicated to the brand’s heritage and craftsmanship. Installations on the facade and in the windows of Harrods will be part of the takeover to celebrate Loro Piana’s 100-year history.
During the takeover, Loro Piana will offer exclusive men’s and women’s ready-to-wear collections in unique colors developed for Harrods, featuring the brand’s precious fibers like Sopra Visso wool, baby cashmere, and vicuña. The designs will include a British touch with equestrian details, checks, and classic solids, reflecting Harrods’ signature green.
Women’s evening looks will feature hand-embroidered silk gowns, knitted dresses, silk tops, and fluid pants, while men can expect a range of tuxedos and formal tailoring. Accessories like the Extra Pocket and Bale, Ghiera, Extra Bag, and Loom will also be available, along with leather goods and costume jewelry in a festive color palette of holiday red, green, and white.
Harrods is a significant market for Loro Piana, with the brand’s heritage collection campaign photographed in Scotland against the backdrop of Inveraray Castle. As Harrods celebrates its 175 years in business, brand takeovers, such as Burberry’s transformation of the store into a luxury base camp, have become highlights. Previous takeovers include Dior and Louis Vuitton, which attracted attention with large-scale exhibitions and immersive experiences at the iconic retailer.
