Louis Vuitton’s ties with Barcelona are deep-rooted, dating back to the early 20th century when it actively participated in the 1929 Barcelona International Exhibition. Georges Vuitton, son of the brand’s founder, played a significant role in the exhibition, receiving recognition for Louis Vuitton’s craftsmanship. Since opening its first store in Barcelona in 1987, the brand has expanded its presence in the region, with six leather goods workshops in Catalunya employing over 1800 people.
Previous Cruise shows for the brand have been held at locations like John Lautner’s Bob & Dolores Hope Estate in Palm Springs and Oscar Niemeyer’s Contemporary Art Museum in Niterói. The specific venue for the upcoming Barcelona show has yet to be named.
