Louis Vuitton Makes Strategic Promotions in Communications Department

Bianca Manley and Cécile Durieux Take on VP Roles of Women’s Communications and Men’s and Corporate Communications, Respectively

Louis Vuitton has announced two significant changes within its image and communications department. Bianca Manley and Cécile Durieux have been promoted to vice president roles within the department.

Manley assumes the position of vice president of women’s communications, while Durieux takes on the role of vice president of men’s and corporate communications. Both appointments are effective as of May 1 and both executives will report to Blake Harrop, who joins Vuitton as executive vice president of image and communications from Wieden + Kennedy.

Harrop’s appointment follows the departure of Stefano Cantino, who served as Vuitton’s executive vice president of image and communications for six years before moving to Gucci as deputy chief executive officer.

Bianca Manley, currently serving as Vuitton’s communications director for the U.K., Ireland, and South Africa, brings 15 years of luxury sector experience to her new role. Prior to her tenure at Vuitton, Manley held positions at Chanel and Giorgio Armani.

Cécile Durieux, with 15 years of experience in Vuitton’s communications and events department, was appointed corporate communications director last year. In addition to managing press relations for men’s categories, Durieux will continue leading the corporate press and partnerships teams.

The promotions were reportedly announced internally on Thursday, indicating their strategic importance within the company. Given Louis Vuitton’s status as the largest luxury fashion brand, known for its extravagant fashion shows, innovative retail projects, and substantial media budgets, these appointments signify a significant organizational shift.
