Louis Vuitton has unveiled a new store and café, Le Café Cyril Lignac, in London Heathrow’s Terminal 2, marking the luxury brand’s latest venture into hospitality. The café, in collaboration with renowned Parisian chef Cyril Lignac, adjoins a new Louis Vuitton store with an aerodynamic façade designed by Marc Fornes, founder of the New York-based art and architecture studio THEVERYMANY. Fornes, who previously collaborated with Louis Vuitton on a pavilion at the 2023 Salone Internazionale del Mobile in Milan, brings a futuristic touch to the design, symbolizing Louis Vuitton’s ongoing inspiration of travel.
Located for the convenience of both domestic and international travelers, the café and store blend seamlessly in an open, welcoming space. The store primarily offers women’s items, alongside men’s accessories and leather goods. Inside, the café features counter and table service, offering a relaxed yet sophisticated atmosphere with a curvilinear interior that conveys a sense of calm. The décor is highlighted by orange and gold tones, with Quetzal Mobiles from the Objets Nomades collection by atelier oï, adding a vibrant touch with colorful, bird-like shapes. The Art de la Table is represented through leather table mats, gold-bordered tableware featuring the Louis Vuitton Monogram, and Twist glasses.
The collaboration with Cyril Lignac brings a unique culinary experience to Heathrow. Known for his fusion of French and international cuisine, Lignac has developed an all-day dining menu to cater to travelers from morning to evening. The menu features a variety of options, from Royal Eggs and avocado toast for breakfast to signature dishes like crab salad, a Croque Monsieur, and lobster rolls. For dessert, Louis Vuitton-inspired pastries and a mango Eton Mess offer travelers a sweet finish before their flights.
Since 2020, Louis Vuitton has expanded into hospitality, with over 20 restaurants, cafés, and lounges worldwide, including Le Café V in Ginza, a seasonal restaurant in St. Tropez, and an airport lounge in Doha. This new café is the brand’s first in the United Kingdom.
