Louis Vuitton Sets Cruise 2026 Show in France for May 22

Louis Vuitton has announced its plans to host its forthcoming cruise show in France. While specifics about the city, venue, and other details have not yet been disclosed, the brand confirmed that event is scheduled for May 22nd.

Nicolas Ghesquière, the artistic director of women’s collections at Vuitton since 2013, is known for selecting architectural wonders as mesmerizing backdrops for Vuitton’s resort displays. Previous locations have featured Barcelona’s Park Güell, designed by notable modernist architect Antoni Gaudí, and Isola Bella, a small Italian island on Lake Maggiore owned by the Borromeo family for about four centuries.

Past Vuitton cruise shows have been held at locations such as the Bob Hope estate by John Lautner in Palm Springs, California, Brazil’s Museum of Contemporary Art Niterói by Oscar Niemeyer, Kyoto’s Miho Museum by Ieoh Ming Pei, the Fondation Maeght in Saint-Paul de Vence by Josep Lluís Sert, and the TWA Flight Center at JFK Airport in New York by Eero Saarinen.

Beyond Louis Vuitton, the Cruise 2026 season is shaping up to be dominated by an Italian influence. Chanel has plans for a show on Lake Como on April 29, followed by Gucci’s show in Florence on May 15 and Dior’s display in Rome on May 27. Max Mara is planning a two-day resort 2026 experience in Naples on June 16 and 17, which will comprise of a runway show. Pucci has also chosen Portofino for its upcoming runway show, which is set for April 4.
