New initiative underscores group-wide shift toward environmentally integrated business practices
LVMH has introduced the Life 360 Awards, marking a new chapter in its company-wide effort to integrate environmental strategy into core business operations. Unveiled at a ceremony held at its Avenue Montaigne headquarters, the awards recognized 13 initiatives across its maisons—including Louis Vuitton, Dior, and Rimowa—for advancing the group’s long-term sustainability goals.
Unlike previous efforts that focused primarily on retail programs, the expanded scope of the Life 360 Awards spans sourcing, production, logistics, packaging, and even executive performance metrics. The awards drew 187 submissions across 41 sectors, with a jury led by Antoine Arnault and composed of senior leaders across finance, HR, and operations.
The move comes as LVMH reports notable progress on its environmental targets: since launching Life 360 in 2019, the group has reduced direct and energy-related emissions (Scopes 1 and 2) by 55 percent—surpassing its 2026 goal ahead of schedule. But the spotlight is increasingly shifting to Scope 3 emissions, which comprise 97 percent of the group’s carbon footprint and include indirect impacts such as supplier operations and upstream transport.
Initiatives awarded included Louis Vuitton’s regenerative agriculture program for leather, Dior’s raw material traceability platform, Bulgari’s digital product passports, and Hennessy’s water management strategy. Several cross-brand collaborations were also honored, such as the “One Route” logistics partnership between Louis Vuitton, Dior, and Rimowa in the U.S., designed to pool transport and reduce emissions.
LVMH’s leadership emphasized the growing alignment between environmental and financial teams, noting recent task forces and training programs aimed at embedding sustainability metrics into capital expenditure decisions. Through the Life 360 Academy, these trainings have extended to suppliers, with 400 partners participating in climate-focused education earlier this year.
The next phase of the program will turn toward traceability and Scope 3 acceleration, with another master class planned for March. As environmental criteria become increasingly tied to governance and innovation, the Life 360 Awards represent a formal recognition of sustainability as a key pillar of LVMH’s business transformation.
