The Paris-based design duo will debut their creative direction in the September 2025 issue
Harper’s BAZAAR Italia has announced the appointment of Michael Amzalag and Mathias Augustyniak—founders of the influential design studio M/M (Paris)—as the magazine’s new Creative Directors. Beginning with the September 2025 issue, the acclaimed duo will shape the publication’s visual identity across both print and digital formats, ushering in a new chapter defined by creative experimentation and artistic depth.
With a legacy spanning more than three decades, M/M (Paris) has long been at the forefront of cultural visual storytelling, merging fashion, art, music, and publishing into a singular, radical language. Their appointment represents not just a creative shift but a philosophical one—positioning Harper’s BAZAAR Italia as a space where visuals don’t just illustrate fashion, they interrogate and elevate it.
“BAZAAR Italia is not content—it’s context,” Amzalag and Augustyniak said of their vision. “A place where images and words can seduce or argue, a compass to navigate fashion across multiple timelines.”
The announcement underscores the magazine’s commitment to evolving its editorial identity at the intersection of art, fashion, and innovation. Working alongside Editorial Director Stefano Tonchi and Editor-in-Chief Massimo Russo, M/M (Paris) will be key to driving Harper’s BAZAAR Italia’s transformation into a global beacon of culture and creativity.
