Review of Maison Mihara Yasuhiro Fall 2025 Ad Campaign by Director and Stylist Yukari Ota and Photographer Jumbo Tsui
Maison Mihara Yasuhiro’s Fall 2025 campaign continues the label’s exploration of raw textures and layered silhouettes, pairing sculptural streetwear shapes with a grounded, human sensibility.
Photographed by Jumbo Tsui and directed/styled by Yukari Ota, the images lean into a muted yet tactile palette. Oversized coats, distressed knits, and loose trousers dominate the frame, each piece appearing lived-in yet precisely considered. The setting is stripped of excess, drawing focus to form and fabric, while Ota’s styling balances volume with unexpected proportions.
Tsui’s lens captures moments that feel mid-motion, as though the subjects are caught in a quiet flux. The lighting is soft and diffuse, emphasizing garment texture and layering rather than overt drama. The result is a series that feels both immediate and enduring — an extension of Mihara Yasuhiro’s philosophy of imperfection as beauty.
This is a collection and campaign that resists polish in favor of personality, making it less about seasonal spectacle and more about a mood that lingers.
