Marimekko x Laila Gohar Launch Bedroom-Inspired Capsule Collection

Paris Pop-Up at Le Bon Marché Kicks Off the Global Debut of the Joyful Collaboration

Marimekko and Laila Gohar are headed to bed—in the most stylish way possible. The Finnish design house has teamed up with the New York-based artist for a whimsical capsule collection inspired by the many things we do in bed, from sleeping and lounging to dreaming and, yes, dressing.

Launching globally in September 2025, the playful bedroom-themed collection makes its first appearance at Le Bon Marché in Paris on August 30, ahead of its wider rollout. To celebrate, Marimekko is staging a colorful pop-up experience at the famed department store as part of its Rock’n’Drôle event during Paris Design Week.

The capsule is anchored by crisp cotton pajama sets designed to be worn well beyond the bedroom, echoing Gohar’s cheeky motto: “If it’s ironed, you can wear it out.” The collection also includes sleeping masks, bedding, ceramics, and a range of home items rendered in bold archival Marimekko stripes by Maija Isola. The palette—sky blues, citrus yellows, plum, and berry red—infuses the pieces with a sense of vibrant ease.

The Paris pop-up pays homage to the immersive bedroom installation the duo debuted during Milan Design Week, featuring an 18-piece oversized bed. Visitors to Le Bon Marché can expect a similarly dreamlike experience, complete with Finnish licorice and limited-edition tote bags.

A U.S. launch event is slated for late September at Marimekko’s Soho flagship, bringing the transatlantic collaboration full circle. Equal parts cozy and conceptual, the capsule reflects Gohar’s irreverent art of living and Marimekko’s joyful design language—proving once again that style starts at home.
