Review of Marine Serre Fall 2025 Ad Campaign by Photographer Julia et Vincent and Director of Photography Adrian Lallau with models Dalton and Vincent Lacrocq
It feels as if Marine Serre brought Quentin Tarantino in for the production of the new “HEADS OR TAILS” Fall/Winter 2025 visual campaign. From the wide-eyed stares to the film noir, cynical tone of the video shoot, this campaign feels straight out of Pulp Fiction. But rather than Tarantino, it’s the work of Serre herself and assistant director Juliette Barbier. The imagery from Act 1, titled “Morning in Paris,” follows the landmark show and short film that took place earlier this year as part of the collection. Featuring Dalton DuBois and Vincent Lacrocq, this new edition to the campaign continues Serre’s powerful, striking, almost terrifying display of beauty.
Photography duo Julia et Vincent bathe DuBois in an oversaturated, seductive blue. The scene is moody, striking, and hot–the kind of hot that makes you shiver. This visual campaign adopts a Nouvelle Vague tone, presenting us with a femme fatale as our main character. This piece of cinematic art fits seamlessly with everything Serre has rolled out for this line, yet the striking nature of the presentation has not been lost.
The images and short film highlight three signature accessories of the season: the Aurora bag, the All Over Moon ballet flats, and, in line with the name, the Strike bag—thrown to the ground atop shattering tableware, leaving DuBois unfazed. Dressed all in black, the female lead remains unaffected by the antics of her male counterpart, creating tension so tangible it feels as though they’re right there in the room with us. The tone of the shoot aligns perfectly with the collection, where sleek edges, clean lines, and dark silhouettes fill the campaign, developing an atmosphere of mature sensuality.
Dynamic poses are a staple of the brand’s imagery, but the theme of feminine power is presented with more intensity than ever before. Daring glances and cold shoulders act as accomplices to the designs. Marine Serre has created a cinematic masterpiece that showcases this bold, feminine line with immaculate precision. The collection consists of strikingly timeless pieces introduced through a mysterious, cunning lens, adding a layer of intricacy to the designs.
This release is the first of three acts, spanning across three different cities, all following the female lead who is unapologetically free and frighteningly cool. Marine Serre advises us, in her own demanding way, to “Stay tuned. The story has only just begun.”
