Event Marks Launch of Collaborative Tree and Seasonal Pop-Up
German luxury brand MCM joined forces with The Standard High Line to host a festive dinner on Tuesday, December 3, 2024, at The Standard Grill. The evening celebrated the unveiling of the inaugural MCM x The Standard Christmas Tree, which is now on display at The Shop at The Standard, High Line.
The event began with holiday cocktails at The Shop, where VIPs, media, and stylists viewed the MCM x The Standard Christmas Tree for the first time. Combining MCM’s “digital nomad” ethos with the hotel’s downtown aesthetic, the tree features a blend of silver and gold ornaments alongside MCM-branded pieces, including rocket ship and star designs inspired by the Autumn/Winter 2024 collection, “Munich to Mars.” Topping the tree is a custom MCM star, with branded gift boxes arranged at its base for a shopping-ready display.
Following the cocktail hour, attendees moved to The Standard Grill for a holiday dinner. Guests wore items from MCM’s latest collection or carried signature accessories. The tablescape incorporated MCM branding with monogrammed placemats, napkin holders, and candle votives, complemented by festive floral arrangements. Each guest found an MCM accessory draped over their chair as a personalized takeaway.
In addition to the tree display, The Shop at The Standard, High Line is offering a curated selection of MCM items through the new year. Shoppers can find winter-ready arrivals and classic logo-clad accessories at 442 West 13th Street, Tuesday through Saturday, from 10:30 AM to 6:30 PM.
