Episode 2 highlights hidden details from the Spring Summer 2004 archive

Alexander McQueen releases the second installment of its three-part archival series, Documenting McQueen: Tailoring. The new episode revisits Spring Summer 2004’s “Deliverance,” a collection created in collaboration with dancer and choreographer Michael Clark, and remembered for its fusion of deconstructed tailoring, narrative performance, and experimental movement.
In the episode, Alistair O’Neill, fashion historian and professor at Central Saint Martins, examines McQueen’s approach to deconstructed tailoring and the ways in which the house used construction, distortion, and performance to extend storytelling beyond the runway. The series continues to open the archive, revealing details and techniques that inform the collections being developed today under creative director Seán McGirr.
Episode 2 of Documenting McQueen: Tailoring is now available to watch on alexandermcqueen.com and the Alexander McQueen YouTube channel.
