Review of Messika Summer 2025 Ad Campaign by Creative Director Ezra Petronio and Photographer Juliette Abitbol with models Annemary Aderibigbe and Summer Dirx
Messika’s Summer 2025 campaign, shot by Juliette Abitbol on the island of Majorca, captures an introspective, cinematic vision of warm-weather luxury.
Lensed through Abitbol’s signature mix of softness and clarity, the campaign leans into nostalgia and intimacy. Models Annemary Aderibigbe and Summer Dirx embody a quiet sensuality, their sunlit skin acting as a canvas for Messika’s sculptural gold and diamond pieces. The photographer draws heavily from the language of French cinema, with compositions that evoke the tender stillness of Éric Rohmer and the warm Mediterranean glow of Jean Becker.
Rather than relying on overt glamour, the imagery emphasizes subtle contrast—shadows and sun, body and stone, skin and gold. Statement pieces like So Move, Fiery, and Move Noa are positioned not just as adornment, but as extensions of the self. The result is tactile and emotionally charged: close-ups where engraved gold captures fleeting rays, or where a single diamond refracts the day’s last light.
While the campaign’s narrative is subdued, it’s purposeful. There is no excess, no drama—only sun, stillness, and the jewelry itself.
