Onofri Joins the Brand Amid Continued Global Success and Will Work to Further this Growth
Prada Group has officially announced the appointment of Silvia Onofri as the new CEO of Miu Miu, filling the position left vacant since Benedetta Petruzzo departed to join Christian Dior Couture as managing director in October 2024. Onofri, who previously served as the brand president of VF Corp-owned outerwear brand Napapijri from January 2023 to January 2025, brings a wealth of experience from her tenure in the fashion industry, including significant roles at Bulgari and a 15-year stint at Bally, where she ascended to chief commercial officer of global wholesale.

Onofri’s appointment, effective February 26, 2025, comes at a pivotal time for Miu Miu, which reported a staggering 97% increase in revenues, reaching €854 million in the first nine months of 2024. Her mandate includes maintaining this strong momentum and desirability while also retaining the brand’s talented team amidst recent departures, such as Dario Vitale, the former design director of ready-to-wear.
As the new CEO, Onofri will report directly to Prada Group CEO Andrea Guerra. The group recently highlighted its financial success, noting a 15% rise in net revenue to €3.8 billion for the nine months leading up to September 30, 2024, attributing this growth to “strong brand identity, creative dynamism, and sound execution.” This leadership change aims to continue that trajectory, leveraging Onofri’s extensive experience to further enhance Miu Miu’s position within the competitive luxury fashion sector.
