The Spring 2026 design reflects Miu Miu’s fascination with purposeful clothing
Introduced on the Spring/Summer 2026 runway in Paris, the Miu Miu tie vest emerges as a defining garment of the season. Crafted in cotton poplin, knit, or suede, the abbreviated design features side ties that allow it to shift easily between functions and silhouettes.

Rooted in utility wear and uniform dressing, the tie vest reflects Miu Miu’s enduring interest in garments with highly specific purposes and meaning embedded in their construction. By reworking these references through unexpected fabrications and proportions, the house transforms a functional piece into something distinctly new.
Reiterated in signature Miu Miu materials, the tie vest is designed for versatility. It can be layered over shirts, T-shirts, sweaters, or dresses to subtly narrow the silhouette, or worn beneath jackets and coats to interrupt and abbreviate volume. It may also be styled alone, worn directly against the skin or revealing discreet glimpses beneath its structure.
What appears to be a small styling gesture becomes a broader expression of individuality. The tie vest embodies a light-hearted yet considered approach to dressing, where fashion and function converge through innovation and personal expression. Decontextualized and recontextualized, the vest is presented not as an accessory or afterthought, but as a transformative garment in its own right.
