Who Rose and Who Fell According to the Shopping Platform’s Quarterly Analysis
Miu Miu has reclaimed the title of the hottest brand in the world according to shopping platform Lyst, which has just released its Q3 2024 rankings. The brand’s searches saw a 30 percent increase in the third quarter on the site, which boasts 15 million monthly active users.
Despite being overtaken by Loewe in the second quarter, Miu Miu made a strong comeback. The brand, led by Miuccia Prada, saw a 30% increase in searches, boosted by high-profile initiatives such as pop-up stores across Asia, a Fall 2024 campaign featuring Cara Delevingne, and the premiere of its latest short film at the Venice Film Festival. Miu Miu’s Arcadie Suede bag also ranked as the fourth-hottest product this quarter, contributing to its resurgence.
Alaïa made significant strides as well, climbing 12 spots to fifth place on Lyst’s index, with a 51% rise in searches. The brand’s fishnet ballerina flats were the top product, followed by its Teckel and Le Coeur bags, which have been embraced by stars like Emily Ratajkowski and Camila Cabello. Designer Pieter Mulier’s creations have become a red-carpet favorite, worn by celebrities including Jennie Kim, Selena Gomez, and Ariana Grande.
The Row, Jacquemus, Gucci, and Coach all climbed up Lyst’s ranking, while Loewe, Bottega Veneta, Versace, Moncler, and Balenciaga fell.
Ralph Lauren had the largest surge in engagement, with a 151% increase, thanks to its Team USA uniforms at the Olympics and appearances at Wimbledon and the U.S. Open. The brand made its debut on Lyst’s index at number 14. Other newcomers included Toteme at number 16, Victoria Beckham at 19, and Chloé at 20, with each seeing significant boosts in demand.
Several indie brands also made waves. Copenhagen-based NN.07 saw a 142% increase in searches, while Entire Studios gained popularity with unique product offerings.
