Review of Moncler ‘2 Moncler 1952 Man’ Fall 2022 Ad Campaign by Creative Director Sergio Zambon with Photographer Eddie Whelan
London’s subcultures are reframed for Moncler’s latest campaign. Sergio Zambon, ever the pop anthropologist with sensitive antennae fine-tuned to what’s happening in the world’s creative communities, created the new 2 Moncler 1952 Man line, encapsulating the popular desire to travel, the need for movement, and excitement. The trip’s basic concept was transformed into the liberation of club culture – the ultimate sensory escapism. Of course, nothing is the same the second time around. Instead of opposing social conventions, the activity Zambon channels is a carefree way of looking at things with an escapist eye; ultimately, it becomes a conduit for a sense of lightness and unlimited possibilities. The birthplace of club culture and subculture, London, is involved in an ideal collaboration, framing it all inside a vibrant cultural and geographical perimeter.
