Moncler Will Unveil the Next Set of Collaborations From Its Genius Project During Shanghai Fashion Week on October 19
Moncler Genius has announced its move to Shanghai for its next round of collaborations, set to be unveiled on October 19 as part of Shanghai Fashion Week. The brand described Shanghai as the perfect setting for this event, highlighting it as “the natural scene for an extraordinary celebration of ideas.”
In a statement, Moncler Genius emphasized the platform as a pioneer for creativity, reshaping traditional collaboration models. The company stated, “The concept, that has captured imaginations and fostered cross-pollination from some of the greatest minds across different industries, continues to provide new ways of sharing creativity with the world.”
The venue for the Genius event in Shanghai and the names of the collaborators have not been disclosed by Moncler. In 2023, the brand hosted its annual Genius format in London under “The Art of Genius” theme, collaborating with nine partners, including Alicia Keys, Pharrell Williams, and Rick Owens among others.
Introduced in 2018 by Moncler chairman and CEO Remo Ruffini, Moncler Genius has featured a diverse group of designers and creatives over the years. The brand typically hosts one Genius event a year, where designers interpret Moncler’s signature puffers with their own styles.
In 2021, Moncler presented collections digitally in five cities and shared the vision of 11 designers in a show hosted by Alicia Keys. The Genius event was put on hold in 2022 as the company celebrated its 70th anniversary with global initiatives and performances. Now, with the upcoming event in Shanghai, Moncler reaffirms its commitment to the Genius project alongside its Moncler and Grenoble lines. The Grenoble line is focused on ski clothing and technical outerwear.
