Spring Summer 24 Runway and Unique Capsule Collection Explore Themes of Heritage and Identity
Nordstrom’s New York City location has launched an exclusive pop-up shop showcasing Erdem’s Spring Summer 24 runway collection alongside a special seven-piece capsule collection. This collection delves into the themes of heritage, structure, and identity, drawing inspiration from Deborah, the late Dowager Duchess of Devonshire and her stewardship of Chatsworth House.
Deborah, known as Debo, played a crucial role in the 20th century, transforming the perception of historic homes. Her eclectic interests, which included farming, chickens, and Elvis, are whimsically acknowledged within the pop-up through life-size 3D models of chickens, linking directly to her personal story.
The capsule collection presented exclusively at Nordstrom features seven designs, each incorporating an antique rose print. This print is drawn from archival chintz textiles found at Chatsworth House and repurposed creatively for the Spring Summer 24 runway. The collection, with pieces priced between $745 and $1,395, merges historical influences with contemporary fashion aesthetics, offering visitors a unique blend of past and present.
The Erdem pop-up shop at Nordstrom NYC, running from May 1st to June 2nd, provides a unique shopping experience that not only highlights exclusive fashion pieces but also tells the compelling story of a notable historical figure and her impact on today’s fashion through Erdem’s visionary lens.
