Nordstrom Transforms NYC Flagship for Holiday Takeover

The Blizz Campaign Kicks Off with VIP Shopping Experience

Nordstrom NYC celebrated its Wonder All the Way campaign and holiday initiative, “The Blizz on 57th Street,” with a private shopping event on Thursday, December 5, 2024. The flagship store was transformed into a festive showcase featuring interactive activities, exclusive collectibles, and appearances by celebrities and tastemakers.

Attendees included Nordstrom executives Olivia Kim, Rickie De Sole, and Jian DeLeon, alongside high-profile guests such as Tiffany Haddish, Amy Sedaris, Busy Philipps, Molly Ringwald, and Ronny Chieng. Designers Laura Kim and Fernando Garcia, model Hanne Gaby Odiele, and influencer Ezra J. William also joined the celebration.

The event introduced larger-than-life inflatable characters inspired by fictional New York City icons. Voiced by filmmaker John Waters and actress Fran Drescher, the inflatables entertained guests with sound installations and interactive experiences. Visitors used a treasure map to explore the Blizz and its characters, with opportunities to win prizes through games like a claw machine, ring toss, and spin-to-win arcade games.

Holiday-themed treats, including street cart-style pretzels, hot dogs, and roasted nuts, were served as guests shopped. Each floor of the flagship store featured immersive decorations and activities designed to engage attendees of all ages.

The Blizz on 57th Street will remain on display at Nordstrom NYC’s Men’s and Women’s stores through January 5, 2025, inviting the public to explore the holiday-themed installation and participate in festive games and activities.
