Review of Off-White Eyewear Summer 2021 Ad Campaign by Creative Director Virgil Abloh with Photographers Tanya and Zhenya Posternak with models Helena Christensen, Justine Biticon & Lil Dre
Off-White celebrates the launch of their first full eyewear and sunglasses collection with a slick new campaign photographed by Tanya and Zhenya Posternak.
The genderless eyewear collection features shapes and silhouettes that embody Off-White’s forward-thinking and architectural aesthetic codes. Its campaign stars a unique trio of talented personalities: supermodel Helena Chirstensen, musician and skateboarder Lil Dre, and actor and model Justine Biticon. Slick styling and art direction anchors these figures in the wider world of Off-White.
I chose Helena, Justine, and Lil Dre because they each represent different worldviews and perspectives, yet they each embody everything I believe Off-White™ stands for. Creativity, perseverance, confidence.
– Virgil Abloh | Off-White Creative Director
The Posternak sisters captures these talents in expressive studio portraits, in both group and solo shots where they each exude a sense of cool confidence. The short film further develops the sense of personality by lending motion and music to expressive moments of playfulness within the studio.
The campaign forms a strong debut for Off-White’s first stand-alone eyewear collection. Abloh is rightfully confident in his creative vision and the already iconic status of his brand, and this campaign makes an effortlessly cool entry into that world.
