Second capsule blends checkerboard classics with modern workwear ease
OTW by Vans has reunited with HommeGirls, the cult menswear-inspired magazine and brand, for a second capsule collection launching April 24, 2025. Following their first collaboration in October 2024, the new drop reimagines Vans’ Authentic 44 in two checkerboard colorways—tonal and military green—with high-density canvas uppers and oversized “HG” monograms integrated into the print and heel scab. Each pair comes with custom HommeGirls-branded laces.
Alongside the footwear, the ready-to-wear line includes a Reversible Workwear Jacket, Patchwork Boxers, and structured Crop Shirts, among other pieces—all drawing from the codes of traditional workwear while refining them for a modern, feminine edge.
“The second drop of OTW by Vans x HommeGirls continues the play on the checkerboard motif, but this time in a patchwork effect — from using stripe shirting mixed with white cotton poplin to a workwear-meets-military canvas patchwork jacket. All the elements that are tried and true HommeGirls, and nodding to the originality of Vans OTW,” says Thakoon Panichgul, HommeGirls founder.
The campaign stars Vans Skate Team Rider Efron Danzig and models Dede Mansro and Alice McNally in New York City, styled by Marcus Cuffie and shot by Justin Leveritt.
Prices range from $18 to $200 for RTW and $130 for footwear, available online and at select retailers.
