Paul Smith to Showcase Collection in Milan

Show to highlight signature storytelling approach and textile inspirations

British designer Paul Smith will officially join the calendar for Milan Men’s Fashion Week this June, marking a first for his namesake label. The designer is scheduled to show on June 21 at 5:00 p.m. local time, staging a salon-style presentation in his showroom at 95 Viale Umbria.

“For the first time ever, I’m delighted to be showing my new collection as a part of Milan Men’s Fashion Week in June. I’ve proudly had my own showroom in Milan for 22 years and have great affection for the city,” said Smith.

Though this marks his official debut on the Milan schedule, Smith is not new to the city. In 2023, he served as guest designer at the Pitti Uomo trade fair in Florence. Over the years, he has also hosted events in his Milan showroom, previously spotlighting designers such as Craig Green and displaying themed presentations, including a cycling jersey exhibit.

Smith has traditionally shown his menswear in Paris, where he favors a salon-style format. Past Paris presentations included theatre-style seating with the designer personally introducing each look and explaining the fabric origins and inspiration, such as thornproof weaves, space-dyed wool, and Prince of Wales checks.

Smith has recently increased his presence in Italy, including attendance at a state banquet hosted at Quirinale Palace by Italian President Sergio Mattarella during the visit of King Charles and Queen Camilla.
