Post Malone Launches Austin Post Label in Paris

The musician debuts his fashion venture at Karl Lagerfeld’s former home, blending Americana with Paris Fashion Week theatrics.

Post Malone stepped into the fashion arena this week with the debut of Austin Post, his new fashion label named after his birth name. The launch took place during Paris Fashion Week at the historic mansion once occupied by Karl Lagerfeld, where guests were greeted by a runway show steeped in Western references — complete with studded jackets, fringe-heavy leather, oversized belt buckles, and a live horse making a finale appearance.

The collection leaned into the musician’s signature aesthetic, offering elevated interpretations of cowboy classics. U.S.-made denim played a central role, complemented by pony-skin Jacrons, velvet blousons, and custom boots made in collaboration with Texas heritage bootmaker Lucchese. Eyewear was developed with Jacques-Marie Mage, echoing shared influences in Southwestern iconography.

While Western style continues its resurgence across pop culture — seen in recent collections by Louis Vuitton and reinforced by Beyoncé’s Cowboy Carter era — Austin Post presented a more accessible take on the trend. The label is priced below traditional luxury, aiming to offer pieces designed to be worn, collected, and lived in over time.

The Paris debut drew an impressive turnout of fashion editors and global retailers, including representatives from Selfridges, Dover Street Market, Printemps, Vier, and Cabinet Noir. The presentation was lauded for its cultural authenticity and embrace of expressive, Americana-rooted storytelling — a notable contrast to the season’s prevailing pared-back luxury themes.

Coinciding with the Paris show, a temporary pop-up opened at Words Sounds Colors & Shapes in the Marais. A New York presentation is also scheduled for mid-September, where the label will introduce its Foundation Collection — a core lineup of tailored silhouettes inspired by Malone’s own wardrobe.
