Japanese Ski Jumper Sets New Record with Prada’s High-Performance Gear in Iceland
Prada Linea Rossa has teamed up once more with Red Bull to support an athlete in an extraordinary endeavor, this time with Japanese ski jumper Ryōyū Kobayashi. Kobayashi, an Olympic and World Cup champion and a three-time Four Hills Tournament winner, recently set a new world record in ski jumping.
The record-breaking event took place in Hlidarfjall Akureyri, northern Iceland, where Kobayashi soared 291 meters during his jump, surpassing the previous record by 37.5 meters. At takeoff, he reached speeds of up to 107 km/h, thanks to the natural takeoff ramp provided by the Icelandic terrain.
In preparation for this formidable challenge in the frigid conditions of Iceland, Prada Linea Rossa outfitted Kobayashi and his team with specialized clothing and accessories designed for peak performance. The provided gear utilized advanced textile technologies to offer both comfort and functionality, essential for the athlete and his crew during the months of rigorous training and preparation.
This partnership between Prada Linea Rossa and Red Bull continues to highlight unique sports events and supports exceptional athletes in achieving groundbreaking milestones.
