Rabanne Names Renaud de Lesquen President

Rabanne has appointed Renaud de Lesquen as president, tasking the seasoned executive with overseeing both the house’s fashion and fragrance divisions.

De Lesquen, who most recently served as chief executive officer of Givenchy, confirmed the move via LinkedIn, noting a personal connection to the category. He described fragrance as “one of his first loves,” adding that returning to it while continuing to engage with fashion carries particular significance.

His appointment comes as Rabanne continues to position itself as a hybrid force across categories, balancing its established strength in fragrance with a growing fashion identity under creative director Julien Dossena. De Lesquen emphasized the house’s distinct character, describing it as “bold, expressive, mythical and forever playing with creative boundaries,” while pointing to a heritage that remains underexplored on a global scale.

The executive joined the role last week and will operate within Puig, the Spanish beauty and fragrance group that owns Rabanne. In his statement, he highlighted Puig’s “culture of excellence, entrepreneurial spirit, long-term vision,” and its people as key factors in his decision.

De Lesquen brings extensive leadership experience across luxury fashion and beauty. Prior to Givenchy, he served as president and CEO of Dior Americas and Dior China, and spent a decade at L’Oréal, where he led YSL Beauté and Giorgio Armani Beauty. Following his departure from Givenchy in July 2024, he launched a strategic advisory firm, Hollyhook.

Founded in 1966 by Paco Rabanne, the house built its reputation on experimental materials and a futuristic design language. While its fragrances—including 1 Million, Phantom, Fame and Invictus—remain global bestsellers, recent years have seen a renewed push into fashion and makeup, including a rebranding to Rabanne in 2023.
