Rabanne Names Troye Sivan First Global Makeup Ambassador

The Pop Icon Joins as the Inaugural Ambassador One Year After the Brand Launched Its Beauty Line

Troye Sivan has been announced as Rabanne’s first global makeup brand ambassador. The move marks another significant push into the world of beauty for the Puig-owned brand, which first moved into the space a year ago a year ago with an expansive makeup collection.

Sivan, a prominent figure in the LGBTQIA+ community and a social media sensation with a 39 million-strong following, is a two-time Grammy-nominated singer, songwriter, and actor. He will debut as the face of Rabanne’s Fresh Touch Foundation, previewing on Monday.

Sivan has a history with Rabanne. “My first interaction was wearing the fashion and always just really loving it and feeling very playful and excited about the clothes, then incorporating them into some special moments for me and music videos,” he shared. For his recent “Something to Give Each Other” tour, he donned a metallic chainmail jumpsuit and bandanna, custom-designed by Rabanne’s creative director Julien Dossena and the brand’s studio. He also wore a chainmail dress in the “Rush” video and a distinctive chest piece from the brand at the spring 2024 fashion show.

His collaboration with Rabanne extends naturally into the realm of beauty. “When it came to working together on the beauty, it was such a no-brainer for me,” Sivan said. The relationship is described as “really organic,” reflecting the diversity and inclusivity that Rabanne champions in its campaigns.

Jérôme Leloup, Rabanne’s vice president, explained,

We chose Troye because we’ve always had such a strong link with music. He’s bringing something very gender-fluid — our makeup is not gender [related], so it’s really important.”

Rabanne’s makeup categories include Eyephoria, Rouge Rabanne, Arts Factory, and the newly launched Nudes, inspired by a ‘60s book collaboration between Paco Rabanne and Jean Clemmer. The Fresh Touch Foundations, part of the Nudes category, offer a sheer, buildable coverage in 30 shades, providing 24-hour radiance and hydration.

Rabanne’s new Nudes line will be available on its direct-to-consumer platforms starting Monday, with subsequent launches at Ulta Beauty, Selfridges, and Sephora Europe. Sivan will introduce his collaboration on TikTok and Instagram, with the Nudes campaign featuring the tagline #NoFilterBeauty set to debut in August.
